Happy Memorial Day Weekend
I always like to take a moment to be thankful for all those soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Many more are at risk everyday and should always be in our thoughts, but this holiday is a remembrance of those who fell in battle. We are lucky enough to be here thanks to those people and there is not enough that can be said. So I'll leave it with a few simple words: We remember. Thank you.
The Learning Curve
So this whole publishing thing is still pretty new to me. I'm learning I promise. I found out recently that because of Shady Place being published through Createspace, which is owned by Amazon, Barnes and Noble will never, never, NEVER order it for their store... ...while their system reads Createspace that is... ...So with that being said, I'm in the process of doing a bit of a switcharoo and doing a little end around. I was going to wait until Amara to try Ingram for publishing needs, but it seems like I can go ahead and use both Createspace and...
Shady Place Audio Book Advances
Just reviewed and accepted the first 15 minutes (or one completed chapter) of the audiobook for Shady Place, being read by Nik Magill. It was... GREAT! More updates on the progress as they come in!

There is a daily ritual just prior to feeding time; the duo, as if to announce that it's time to pay attention to them, engage in an unruly round of fisticuffs that often spans the length and width of the entire house. They knock things over, throw each other into walls, pull each others fur out, and, somehow, no one ever seems to get hurt. Tonight was a particularly loud and violent fracas that seemed to escalate because Ashley and I were trying to have...
Amara Update
Progress is going slower than I'd like, mainly due to procrastination, but a little bit due to an incredibly busy schedule. No excuses though. Probably about 8-10% of the way done with the first draft, which puts me behind my completely arbitrary deadline set by my taskmaster of a publisher (that would be me as well). Soooooo, instead of sitting here typing a blog post, I think I'll get back to work!
